Madagascar, this island continent, is home to one of the finest and unique Cocoas (Cacao) in the world.
Exceptional terroir: 95% of Malagasy production comes from the Sambirano valley, in the northwest of the island. Imagine a valley flooded by a river of the same name, fertile lands bathed in sunlight, and Cocoa (Cacao) trees flourishing. This is where the “Criollo” variety is born, famous for its white beans. And these beans give rise to a particularly tasty Chocolate (Chocolat).
Unique taste: Malagasy Cocoa (Cacao) is grown without fertilizer, in land that is home to Endemic Flora. No wonder its taste is exceptional!
Imagine an intense and rounded experience on the palate, with moderate bitterness that gives way to citrus notes and fruity accents reminiscent of raspberry or strawberry. It’s a real taste journey!
